On your Home Screen
What changed on Databricks, on your iPhone before you open anything: the newest item as a panel in the colour of its kind, three more below it, and the areas moving most. Every piece of it opens its page here. iOS lets only an app draw a widget, so this one runs in Scriptable, a free app that runs small scripts — the script is served from this site, and you can read it below.
Add it in three steps
It refreshes about every half hour, which is as often as iOS lets a widget redraw. The small size shows the newest item alone; the medium one adds the areas. In the same widget settings, a Parameter narrows it: release, preview for those kinds only, or area:catalog to follow one area, with any id from the sidebar.
What you are running
The whole scriptThe script you install is this loader. On every run it fetches the widget from /widget/lakenaut.js and keeps a copy for when there is no signal, so the widget can improve here without anyone touching their phone. The widget reads two public files the site already serves — the RSS feed, whose categories carry each item's kind and areas, and the taxonomy, for the areas' names and colours — and nothing else. No account, no key, nothing sent back.

The same feed works in any widget app that reads RSS, on Android too. Each item names its kind and its areas as categories, so a widget there can colour things the same way. And the newsletter is the same news, once a week, in the inbox.
