Databricks-provided MCP connectors for Genie are generally available
Genie One and Genie Code can now use Databricks-provided MCP connectors for Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Slack, and GitHub. The connectors let Genie search and act on those tools while answering questions, with each connection governed through Unity Catalog and Unity Gateway and each user authenticating separately.
Learners using Genie need to know that external tool access can now be configured with governed MCP connectors rather than only relying on data already in Databricks.
