ai_transcribe() is in beta for audio-to-text transcription
Databricks added the beta ai_transcribe() SQL function to transcribe an audio file into text. It returns a VARIANT value with time-stamped segments, and can label each segment with a speaker when speaker diarization is enabled for the workspace.
Readers learning AI Functions in SQL need to know this function exists but is still beta.
